The course covers a range of topics including effective communication, conflict resolution, time management, team building, and problem-solving.

The Soft Skills Course is ideal for professionals who want to enhance their career prospects by improving their soft skills, as well as for students who want to develop these skills before entering the workforce.

Objectives

  • To understand that mastering soft skills is not always black and white and that it depends on various factors, such as emotional state, external circumstances, and types of people one interacts with.
  • To recognize that soft skills are portable and valuable to any job or career, as they involve inner strength and interpersonal effectiveness in working with people.
  • To acknowledge that mastering soft skills is an ongoing journey, where one can reach a level of competency but will continually encounter new situations or people that test their soft skills and push them to learn more.

Program Structure

This Soft Skills course covers 15 essential topics for individuals looking to develop their soft skills and build their career. The topics include goal setting, motivation, self-confidence, communication, negotiation skills, stress management, time management, CV/resume writing, and interview skills. The course uses a variety of teaching methods, including theory, games, role play, group activities, and self-assessment tests.

Upon completion of the course, students will take the RCSS Test to determine their soft skill proficiency. The decision is based on several factors, including evaluations from classroom and tutorial instructors, student performance in the course, a review of student files, and a review of student performance in classroom presentations.
